Monster Harvesting. I think that this is food for everyone but farmers. It allows everyone to actually be able to afford it but it also does not help farmers because they are not getting the money they deserve and worked for. I think overall this is good for us. They are making much corn so they should still be gaining money.
I think it is crazy how every year one to three people die from grain bin entrapment and many people put themselves in critical near-death situations. It takes 10 seconds for your waist to be entrapped in the grain. It takes 25 seconds to be completely submerged in the grain. They make a pulley thing so you don't get trapped in the grain.
Corn and soybeans are supposed to bring in a record-breaking harvest for U.S. farmers. I understand that this might be too much of a good thing though, considering corn and soybean prices have been dropping. Plus there isn't enough demand to keep up with the "monster harvest."
I believe there is nothing wrong with this. The prices are dropping. this helps many people that are in the need of food. Sure farmers might not be gaining as much money but in all its a good thing for everybody else
Why Farmers Aren't Cheering This Year's Monster Harvest. U.S. farmers are bringing in what's expected to be a record-breaking harvest for both corn and soybeans. But for many farmers, that may be too much of a good thing. That has farmers like Gene Trausch worried. From the cab of his John Deere combine, Trausch watches the machine churn through a field of soybeans. His irrigated soybean fields are showing big yields. So did the corn he recently picked. When prices started booming around 2007, farmers planted millions more acres of corn and beans — much of it in places where they would normally grow wheat or cotton. Even land set aside for conservation was plowed up to grow corn. Trausch jokes that Mother Nature usually keeps things in check."I looked at replacing it, and they wanted $400,000 for a new one. Well, that don't work at $3 corn," he says.
This is a good lesson because when I go work around grain equipment at Ben's house he always asks that I be extra careful around the grain equipment. Obviously because they are very dangerous and things can happen if you aren't aware and careful. I think this clip has a good lesson to it.
This article was about the the Sandy Creek kids competing in the national convention in Kentucky this year. Not only did the kids compete but they placed 12th out of the nation in Ag communications and 10th in the nation in Ag sales. Considering this school is only a C-2 school in remote Nebraska thats pretty impressive.

Farming is it what everybody thinks it is not very many farmers have a huge amount of money because people don't realize the amount of money spent in planting harvesting fertilizing in irrigation and everything in between farmers don't make near the cut of the sale that everybody thinks because they see 15 bucks a bushel and think that that's going to be all profit
I think there is nothing wrong with this. The prices are decreasing. This helps many people that are in the need of food. Some farmers might not be gaining as much income, but all in all its a very good thing for everyone else.
monster harvest i think that this helps everybody but not the farmers as much as the others. it doesnt really seem like this is a bad thing. it might seem like the farmers dont get paid to well for what they do but they really do. thats just what i think
