This is election day, many of you are not old enough to vote but some of you are. Share your thoughts today on some of the morals and values that you feel are the most valuable that you would look for in a candidate to vote for. Maybe it is their stance on abortion or immigration? Share AT LEAST THREE things that you would look for in voting for a candidate to represent you on any level (local, state, or national). Make sure to provide a sentence with each of your three to explain why you feel that way.
FICTITIOUS EXAMPLE: Candidates that like the color blue: I will only vote for candidates that like the color blue because that is the color of the sky and I like the sky.
I haven't really thought about what I would look for when voting. I would want someone who would represent what the people want, not just do his own thing. Also, you don't want someone who doesn't know what their doing. You want someone who will do the right thing, not just what everyone else is doing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really thought about this because i am still 3 years from being able to vote but i would probably say that i look for honesty integrity and responsibility in a candidate.
ReplyDeleteI think that I would most likely vote for a person that supports the military, troops, and vets because many people in my family have served and there are also know people that have served.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like a certain party so I really don't care about that I would vote for someone that has a decent opinion.
I would also vote for someone that supports ag because well this is Nebraska.
I would look for someone who helps benefit all the people. I would like someone who can make our country a better place and supports the poor. I havent really thought about anything else that i would look for when voting because I obviously cant vote. Someone who can be a leader and not someone who can't decide what is best for everyone
ReplyDeleteI would look for someone who believes in God and has good morals and has peoples best interests in mind. A person who doesn't overreact and bomb other countries for little things. I would look for a person who is able to make decisions under pressure.
ReplyDeleteI never think about what I would look for because I don't plan on voting for a while, if at all. If I did I would want someone that does what the majority of people want them. I would also look for someone that doesn't want to do his own thing, he wants to make the people around him happy.
ReplyDeleteI would look for someone who has good morals and puts peoples best interests in mind before deciding on something. I would look for a person who is able to make correct decisions beneath pressure.
ReplyDeleteI would vote for someone who shows commitment. I don't like people that make pie crust promises.
ReplyDeleteLeadership to help get us through tough times a will to make a change based on how the people want things to be and be willing to negotiate or explain why its not a good idea
ReplyDeleteand humility so they know how it feels to be at one person point of view
I would vote for someone who knows what they are doing and is supportive of ag and support the troops.
ReplyDeletei would look for someone who would do whatever is right for everybody in the world. And can make the right decision when there under pressure
ReplyDeletei think that i would elect someone who actually knows how to lead and not a person who supports what i believe only thats just a way to cop out and work into other peoples minds, it doesnt matter if you believe in what i do it just if you can actually do what you are being elected to do.
